'cause they got methods of keeping you clean
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 07:11 pmSo! Had therapy and psychiatry visits today.
Therapist was very happy to hear about the safety measures I'd put in place, and did not hospitalize me (obviously). He also gave me homework which I think will really help. It's literal homework, actual worksheets—which, dorkily, I am excited about, because they feel concrete & like I'm accomplishing something.
Psychiatrist said he would feel most comfortable NOT having me on any atypical antipsychotics, despite the fact that they work, because he couldn't find reliable info on which ones didn't raise prolactin and he said he previously would've said Abilify was the least likely to.
So I mentioned Lamictal and he LOVED the idea. He said he's had GREAT success with it— both as an antidepressant and as an impulse curb.
He also agreed that the adderall crash could have somethign to do with it, and since I don't really like adderall xr, we put me on vyvanse.
So my anxiety will most likely be going up but hopefully I can manage that.
TLDR: not in hospital, med change off Abilify & Adderall and onto Lamictal & Vyvanse.
