erikaTravis and I are engaged and we found rings. This news is so surprising to me I've written two entries about it like it's brand new news because I still haven't incorporated it into my self-concept! Wow!
IT'S AMAZING, y'all. I remain super really happy with this relationship in ways I find hard to articulate or put my finger on, just because he's so fucking perfect for me—he didn't try to surprise me or do some bullshit I'd have to have a public reaction to, instead we talked about what making that commitment meant to us for a long time over months.
Then one day we were out to lunch at our fav local burger chain and I saw a silver store across the street, so I suggested we pick up a few to see if we liked them. Mostly because Travis has Things around his hands and I haven't worn a ring since I thought I could rehabilitate Mr Loathsome, so I wanted to make sure it was still a Thing I Could Tolerate.
We went to a silver store, picked out some rings, and wore them out. Later I made sure to clarify that we'd decided to go with a theme (I later found out, so did Posh Spice!*) so any of the rings that break or get destroyed can be upgraded without my internal ruleset being broken. DELIGHTFUL.
